The chapter on attachment alone is worth the investment of time and money. I'm recommending this book to men's ministry leaders and support groups as an excellent resource. I'm not into overstatements like "must read." But...really...you should!
This book provides a lot of good information explaining why porn makes people addicts. It also, as the title states, gives you steps on how to overcome it. Very well done. I am the wife of a porn addict trying to find the answers to a lot of questions that I have and this book really helped me do that.
Excellent book! Well written. Has great insight. Seeing how our minds operate was fascinating. I think everyone should read this book. Sex is so prevalent in our society - it's on TV, advertisements, the internet, etc. We need to be proactive in preventing a porn addiction instead of trying to fix it once we become addicted to it. This book is a must read. I will be reading it again.
This is the only book that truly deals with the root causes of porn & other addictive behaviors. There is hope in connecting to Christ & others. The author does a great job in explaining how the brain works & how porn affects the brain. This a must read for all men.
This helpful and honest resource will soon become a new standard for individuals, marriages and small groups. Really thankful for this work.
