I bought this after so many great reviews but unfortunately there are many questions about "exes". Many men or women are not comfortable discussing some subjects in this book.
Got this before taking a road trip with my husband of 50 years . . . it's everything they say it is. One might think two people who'd been married 50 years would know absolutely everything about one another . . . but this was great, not only for entertainment, but also for edifying your relationship. It kind of "gives permission" to discuss things you wouldn't ordinarily bring up. Also just great fun!
I love this book! My boyfriend and I are apart right now so we have been doing these every day. For the most part they are super cute, and every now and then they touch on serious or deep subjects.I showed it to a friend of mine and she did not like it because one of the first questions says "Who was your first kiss?" and I know another page asks about your first sexual experience. Personally I feel in a relationship those are things you should be able to talk about, but if you are the type of couple who isn't comfortable with those questions, or who doesn't feel like skipping a few pages, then maybe this book isn't for you. But those are few and far between.There's so much more than that, there's fun pages about your dream house, dream vacations, opinions on raising children, family issues, feelings, fantasies, and so much more.Overall its a lot of fun, just the right amount of serious, light hearted, multiple choice, open ended, etc.Love this book, I will be sad when we are finished! Just the thing we need to keep up having a good time!
I didn't think that my husband would want to do the book with me but he actually did! I was really surprised, the questions are really fun and I think my husband felt more open to answer them than when I had previously asked. We have only done a couple of pages but I really do feel alot closer with him.
Questions we’re terrible, and the quiz format was no fun. It was written like it was trying to get you into an argument with your spouse.
The questions in here can get kind of boring. They're supposed to be conversation starters, but some of them are asked in a way that is too vague to really incite a discussion. For example, "Where does your drive come from?" It does include a good mix of light-hearted and deeper questions, though.
Very well put together book, good conversation starter for new couples and old. My fiancee and I have been together 3 years and we definitely learned new things about each other while going through the activities of this book!.The book has an overall nice format, the only thing I could recommend to make it any better, is more writing space for longer answers. Maybe a section in the back to make your own questions the book didn't cover.Makes for a great memory and keepsake to look back on. It only takes a few moments a day or even a week to answer but a few short questions and there is no set order in which to do them. Some nghts we ended up doing page upon page, the way its laid out it has a way of sucking you in before you realize you have went through 7-10 pages! I give 5 stars because this book definitely rekindled and brought a closeness back to the relationship we had let get away from us dealing with everyday life. Thank you.
I just received this and started reading through some of the quizzes to see what it is all about. There are some great conversation starter questions. I also liked that it contained some “sensitive†topics that couples avoid because they don’t want to be the one to bring it up (especially for newer couples). This book kinda gives you an excuse to talk about things that you maybe would not have on your own.There are a lot of questions and a range of topics.My only negative comment does not affect the use of the product ... it is more of a printing issue. I am not sure if it was intentional or not but when printed the top part of the book cover (where it has the Would You Rather section printed) is printed on every page in the book. I found it very distracting.
