I have always loved this series! I read it for the first time when I was in middle school by a recommendation from my favorite teacher. I guess she thought it would help me since at the time I was a very awkward girl who was very introverted and kind of shunned by the rest of my classmates. This series is a great coming of age story for children and preteens about the importance of being true to yourself and accepting diversity in yourself and in others. It is a book about love, and about the the cruel mistakes we make as immature children. I would definitely recommend it to even adults, since you are never too old to enjoy a story about love in its most simple and purest form.
It’s a pretty good story. It teaches an important principle that you should be unaffraid to be who you are.
I wanted to replace my star girl set that I had donated. This set is lovely and cheaper than buying the books separately.

I loved Star Girl when I was a kid and my 8 year old loves it now. Great read.
I read these youth books and loved the message and was pleased to find them in a boxed set with a journal too. I purchased the set for a 10 year old granddaughter who is called the family's "twinkle star" and know she will be blessed by the story of unique Stargirl. All youth should feel free to be themselves and Stargirl is the example.
