While not perfect (How in the world could you leave a hero such as John Pelham out???) this is a valuable resource for study about the Confederate States of America.
I love this set of books, I have been writing a daily report, on day to day events of the "War of Northern Aggression", and these are a big help. To be able to go from one event or one leader to another and compare the fact of all, then being able to compose a report that has more than one reference point.
This collection is a great resource for the history buff. If you encounter interesting bits from other sources and cannot locate relevant material, this may be just the resource you are looking for.
